Clear or frosted: which finish suits my fitting?

Clear glass shows the LED filament through the envelope, producing a sparkle effect and visible filament glow. It works best in exposed fittings where the globe is seen: open pendants, cage lights, and decorative fittings. Frosted glass diffuses the light into a soft, even output with no visible filament. It works best inside shaded fittings where you want warmth and even coverage without glare.

If the globe is hidden behind a shade, frosted is the practical choice. If the globe is visible, clear adds decorative character.

What colour temperatures are available in the classic range?

The classic range is focused on Warm White 2700K, the most versatile colour temperature for New Zealand homes. Select models are also available in Extra Warm 2200K and Soft White 3000K.

For most whole-home globe replacements, 2700K across every fitting is the simplest and most consistent approach.

Are classic globes dimmable?

Dimmable and non-dimmable options are available. Dimmable models work with the DimEzy range LED Light Dimmers from 1 to 100 per cent. For fittings on a dimmer circuit, always choose the dimmable version. Installing a non-dimmable globe on a dimmer circuit can cause flickering or failure.
