Simple, smooth dimming for LED lighting
The DimEzy Knob LED Dimmer is a straightforward turn-to-dim control for 240V dimmable LED and halogen lighting. It handles dimming only, with on/off done by a separate switch. That suits a plate where the dimmer sits beside an existing light switch.
It uses trailing-edge phase control, the dimming type recommended for LED, for smooth and quiet dimming on compatible dimmable globes. It’s also immune to the ripple control signals sent over the mains supply, a common cause of flicker in dimmed lights. It retrofits into Clipsal Classic and similar 84mm-centre plates, and up to six mechanisms fit in one plate.
Best for: replacing an old dimmer where a switch is already on the plate, or a simple, cost-effective dimming setup.

Good to know
- Works with dimmable globes only.
- Stay within the load rating, because overloading can permanently disable the dimmer’s protection.
- The wall plate is not included.
- It does not fit Clipsal Iconic plates. For Iconic, choose the DimEzy Universal Push Button LED Dimmer.
- Two-way setups switch from two locations, but dimming happens at the dimmer only. Two dimmers cannot control the same light.
- It must be installed by a licensed electrician.
Which DimEzy dimmer is right for you?
All DimEzy wall dimmers suit 240V dimmable LED and halogen lighting and retrofit into your existing wall plate. Choose by how you want to control your lights and which plate you have.
| Model | How it works | On/off | Control from more than one spot | Plates |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Knob | Turn to dim | Separate switch needed | Two-way switching | Clipsal Classic and similar |
| Rotary | Turn to dim, push for on/off | Built in | Two-way switching | Clipsal Classic and similar |
| Push Button | Short press on/off, hold to dim | Built in | Two-way switching | Clipsal Classic and similar |
| Universal Push Button | Short press on/off, hold to dim | Built in | Dim and switch from up to 20 locations | Clipsal Iconic |
The Knob, Rotary and Push Button are trailing-edge dimmers. The Universal detects trailing or leading edge automatically, so it also handles iron-core transformers and small motor loads.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How bright are Dulora bulbs?
LED brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. Here's a quick conversion guide:
- 2-3W LED ≈ 25W incandescent (200-300 lumens)
- 4-5W LED ≈ 40W incandescent (400-500 lumens)
- 6-8W LED ≈ 60W incandescent (650-800 lumens)
- 7.5-10W LED ≈ 75-100W incandescent (900-1200 lumens)
- 11-12W LED ≈ 100-125W incandescent (1300-1500 lumens)
All Dulora product pages list wattage and lumen output so you can choose the perfect brightness for your needs.
What is the lifespan of Dulora bulbs?
Dulora bulbs are designed for over 25,000 hours of use. If you use your light for an average of 3 hours per day, your LED bulb could last over 22 years. This exceptional longevity significantly reduces the frequency of replacements compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, which typically last only 1,000-2,000 hours. Note that all LED bulbs' light output gradually decreases over time, a phenomenon known as lumen depreciation.
Are Dulora bulbs dimmable?
Yes, most Dulora bulbs are dimmable, allowing you to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Look for the "dimmable" specification on the product page. For optimal performance, we recommend using LED-compatible dimmers. Some older dimmer switches may cause flickering or buzzing with LED bulbs. If you experience any issues, please contact our customer support team for assistance.
What is colour temperature and which should I choose?
Colour temperature refers to the warmth or coolness of light, measured in Kelvins (K):
- Ultra & Extra Warm (2000K-2200K): This colour range is warm and closer to a room lit by candles. It’s a very calm type of light, but it may make tasks like reading harder.
- This calming light gives off a warm glow, similar to candlelight. However, because it is such a soft light, it may not be suitable for activities that require focus, such as reading.
- Warm White (2700K-3000K): This colour creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.
- Natural White (3500K-4000K): Provides a balanced, neutral light perfect for kitchens, offices, and workspaces.
- Cool White (5000K-6500K): This colour delivers a crisp, energising light similar to daylight. It is best for task lighting, garages, and areas requiring detailed visibility.
Choose based on the mood you want to create and the purpose of the space.
