Warm White 2700K for living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways: this is the default temperature for most New Zealand homes and the closest match to the incandescent warmth people are used to. Extra Warm 2200K for dining rooms and feature pendants where evening atmosphere is the priority. Soft White 3000K for kitchens and bathrooms where clarity and warmth are both needed. Natural White 4000K for home offices and utility spaces where task clarity matters more than atmosphere.
Within a single room, keep all fittings at the same colour temperature. Mixing temperatures within one space creates visual inconsistency that most people find unsettling.
