Description
Description
A plug-in dimmer you work with your foot, so your hands stay free for whatever you were already doing. The Foot Dimmer and Switch turns any floor lamp into a dimmable one: it sits in the power point on a piggyback plug, your lamp plugs into the back, and from there a light tap of the pedal switches it on or off, while a press and hold dims it smoothly up or down, with no bending under the shade and no electrician. It uses trailing-edge control for a clean, flicker-free fade, and two small screws on the back set both your lowest brightness and the rate at which it dims. Backed by a 3-year warranty.
Control at Your Feet
The large round pedal does the work that a wall switch or an under-shade cord usually asks your hands to do. Tap it once, and the lamp is on; tap again, and it is off; hold your foot down, and the light rises or falls smoothly to the level you want. A green indicator glows so you can see at a glance when the lamp is live. The two adjustment screws on the back are what set it apart from a plain foot switch: one dials in the minimum brightness, so it dims down to a soft glow without flickering out, and the other sets the dimming speed, from a slow, gentle fade to a quicker response.
Smooth, Flicker-Free Dimming
It uses trailing-edge phase control, the type suited to modern LEDs, so the light fades cleanly from bright to low without the flicker or buzz cheaper dimmers can bring. It works with most dimmable LED, incandescent, halogen and CFL bulbs.

Good to Know
It is made for dimmable lamps and bulbs, so it will not work with LED fairy lights or strip lighting. It requires only a small minimum load to run, which suits the low-wattage LED lamps that some dimmers struggle with.
Where It Belongs
It is at its best on floor lamps, where reaching down to the cord is the fiddly part: living-room and lounge floor lamps, the reading corner by an armchair, a bedroom uplight, or a standing lamp in a home office where a foot tap keeps your hands on the keyboard. Because it plugs in and comes with you, it is a favourite in rentals, student housing and shared homes. In hospitality and retail, it earns its place on hotel-room and lobby floor lamps, restaurant and bar standing lights, and boutique display lamps, anywhere staff want to set the level without crouching behind the furniture.
Complete the Look
Prefer a dial in your hand or a switch on the cord? Our full plug-in dimmer range covers rotary, push-button and smart outdoor control, so you can match the dimmer to the way you actually reach for the light.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How bright are Dulora bulbs?
LED brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. Here's a quick conversion guide:
- 2-3W LED ≈ 25W incandescent (200-300 lumens)
- 4-5W LED ≈ 40W incandescent (400-500 lumens)
- 6-8W LED ≈ 60W incandescent (650-800 lumens)
- 7.5-10W LED ≈ 75-100W incandescent (900-1200 lumens)
- 11-12W LED ≈ 100-125W incandescent (1300-1500 lumens)
All Dulora product pages list wattage and lumen output so you can choose the perfect brightness for your needs.
What is the lifespan of Dulora bulbs?
Dulora bulbs are designed for over 25,000 hours of use. If you use your light for an average of 3 hours per day, your LED bulb could last over 22 years. This exceptional longevity significantly reduces the frequency of replacements compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, which typically last only 1,000-2,000 hours. Note that all LED bulbs' light output gradually decreases over time, a phenomenon known as lumen depreciation.
Are Dulora bulbs dimmable?
Yes, most Dulora bulbs are dimmable, allowing you to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Look for the "dimmable" specification on the product page. For optimal performance, we recommend using LED-compatible dimmers. Some older dimmer switches may cause flickering or buzzing with LED bulbs. What is colour temperature and which should I choose?
Colour temperature refers to the warmth or coolness of light, measured in Kelvins (K):
- Ultra & Extra Warm (2000K-2200K): This colour range is warm and closer to a room lit by candles. It’s a very calm type of light, but it may make tasks like reading harder.
- This calming light gives off a warm glow, similar to candlelight. However, because it is such a soft light, it may not be suitable for activities that require focus, such as reading.
- Warm White (2700K-3000K): This colour creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.
- Natural White (3500K-4000K): Provides a balanced, neutral light perfect for kitchens, offices, and workspaces.
- Cool White (5000K-6500K): This colour delivers a crisp, energising light similar to daylight. It is best for task lighting, garages, and areas requiring detailed visibility.
Choose based on the mood you want to create and the purpose of the space.
